Does anyone know how to place special text characters using the text and or label tools? Specifically, the degree symbol for site plan drawings.

For any who don't already know, on the Mac the keys are:
° = option/shift/8
± = option/shift/=(+)
ø = option/o
In Panther there are now the Keyboard Palette and Character Maps under the International Menu (the flag at the right of the menu bar). They show all the possible characters and much more (very cool).
