Hi,
I want a specific walking line length of the tread measuer at the outer diameter of the tread. I have moved the walking line but still the length (300mm in my case) is measured at center (where the walking line from the beginning). How do I do this correctly?

For the winder settings you have to change from "fixed - centre"
You can then set the offset you want the walking line to be measured at.
You may also have to turn off the rule about the walking line offset range.

I ❤️ you Barry. I've done this a couple of years ago and totally forgot this. The trycky thing here is that I moved the walking line in the Edit > symbol mode... but It is obviously just a graphic representation...has nothing to do with the walking line used for the calculations...as I get it. So ...super easy to do this as long as I don't tweak the symbol walking line (must admit I was impressed that it was so easy to just move it in the symbol mode...fake thing really).
