Stair balustrade

I've got a display problem with the ArchiCAD stair

The handrail settings have been set to a 30mm wide rail, but the floor plan symbol still shows the rail at about 52mm wide.
I've placed an outlined white fill next to the selected stair to illustrate the discrepancy - the fill is 30mm wide.
Currently I'm turning off handrail display and using fills instead, but this will get laborious when I then have to draw all rails in 2D in my stair sections too!!
Please help - am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug?
