Storefront horizontal members are stryped

Creating some storefronts.

Using a single material for all metal 

"Metal - Iron"  a as delivered color

The vertical members look dark gray and don't change color as I change color

And the vertical members have stripes

Maybe just the texture?

It is joints between two members when a perpendicular member was removed.  I don’t know the nuance yet as if I should remove the vertical and stretch the as I remove the horizontal.  Not found a good learning video yet.
