The Magic Wand is a feature in Archicad that detects and traces shapes from existing elements or empty spaces. It allows users to quickly generate new elements by following predefined paths or closed shapes. This tool works seamlessly with any tool in the toolbox, making it versatile for various design tasks.
Press the Spacebar.
Alternatively, click the Magic Wand icon in the Control Box or select it via Design > Outline Polygon with Magic Wand.
When hovering over edges or nodes, the Magic Wand traces lines or connected paths.
When hovering over an empty area, it traces the nearest closed shape.
Upon clicking, a new element is created based on the traced shape.
The Magic Wand can be used with various tools and scenarios:
Element Creation: Generate walls, slabs, roofs, and more by tracing existing geometry.
Polygon Operations: Add or subtract polygons efficiently.
