This is another quick survey to see what kind of internet connection speed ArchiCAD users around the world have access to.

If you have a spare moment would you please visit www.speedtest.net and select a pyramid nearest you to begin the test. It's quite a cool test and after about 30 seconds it will display your download and upload speeds.

If you could reply with a quick post in this format:

City:
Country:
Download Speed: xxxx kbps
Upload Speed: yyyy kbps

I would much appreciate it. If you have multiple locations (eg. home and office), please feel free to include them all.

Thanks for your time!

Cheers,
Link.

Looking at other peoples results, I thought I must have copied
the results incorrectly so I did the speed test again.
The download is a little slower on the second test but similar.
Please see attached.

Canadians are modest when describing hose diameter unlike Australians who exaggerate.

Mine is:

City: Noosa
Country: Australia
Download speed: 1317
Upload speed: 208

But I really don't want this to be viewed as a competition. I just want to get an accurate snapshot of internet connections from all around the world, no matter how fast or slow they are, or where they're from.

In fact I would particularly like to hear from users in remote locations, or countries with developing internet infrastructure. So even if you don't regularly post here, I'd still like to hear from you!

Cheers,
Link.

PS. Having said that, Mr. Devlin you're a real stud and I'm just a little envious.

Hello Dwight,
I do not know anything about internet technology.
I use a cable modem and my ISP is an outfit called Comcast.
They provide cable TV which is necessary in my area because
it is hilly and ISP for internet access. If I knew more about this
stuff I could answer you more intelligently.
