This is a quick survey to see what ArchiCAD users around the world set their screen resolutions to when using ArchiCAD. Please take a moment to respond.

To find the screen resolution of your PC: Right click on your desktop and select Properties. Then go to the Settings tab and read the number under Screen resolution.

To find the screen resolution of your Mac: Go to Apple Menu>System Preferences...>Displays and read the highlighted screen resolution.

If you use a resolution that is not listed, please feel free to specify it in a post. If you use multiple monitors, please feel free to add those too.

Thanks for your time!

Cheers,

PS. Go easy - I'm a poll virgin!

A nice feature of new MacBook Pro's is the optional 1920x1200 resolution screens to match the 23" Cinema displays. Means no more needing to adjust all your application windows & Work Environment when you switch between the two.

So this poll ran since May with 139 responses.

Link: did this tell you anything useful or surprising?

Yes it did. The most interesting part for me was that the lowest common denominator was 1280x1024.

It also seems that many people have some big screens and resolutions out there. It's good to see users pushing the boundaries in this area (pardon the pun).

On a side note, I thought there would be more than 139 posts. I wonder how many people really read this forum?

Cheers,

thanks for the survey link!
since the majority of users surveyed are at high resolution, may gs needs to make more high rez friendly and easier on many of our aging vision.
maybe something like apple's dock magnification effect.

1920x1200 on my G5, and 1024x768 on my laptop. I like the small resolution on the laptop to use it for remote training--so it fits on everyone's monitor and uses the least bandwidth...and, it is good for making instructional movies and keeping them to a relatively small size at that resolution too.
