The lock files get deleted all the time, so I doubt that is related. The AutoCAD stuff is a possibility, but try this:
Sign in with ownership of all sections/elevations.
Turn off all layers.
Display -> Sections & Elevations > Rebuild all
Send & receive
This cleans up a lot of random crap that seems to accumulate in the S&E views. I cannot say for sure what, but this has solved some problems for us before.
