Touching Objects: lines disappear

Not applicable
An old problem/beef we have is that when object touch the lines that are overlapping tend to disappear. We sometimes solve this by moving the objects apart 1/64" or by drawing a line manually. Neither of these solutions are great. Both of them are time consuming and bothersome.

We would like to request that Graphisoft figure out a way to have objects touch and still preserve the adjoining lines.

Thank you,
John

BTW We have tried setting the Layer intersection levels to different values. This helps with wall and columns in plan view but not with the slabs and objects show here in section view.

This is how the same objects appear when we move them 1/64" away from each other.

Make sure they have different fill properties - make up some new ones if needed. Empty space and airspace next to each other will keep the line

John,
Does your issue have anything to do with the issue in this thread ?

John,
It seems that the adjoining identical fills is the problem. We use "Empty Fill" a lot when we create composites, objects, walls, etc. Now that we know this we'll create "Empty Fill 01", "Empty Fill 02", "Empty Fill 03", and so on.
My rant continues. I'm asking that Graphisoft make it so that objects, composites and other things can have adjoining identical fills that show the border and seperator lines.
Thanks,
John

That is right. It is a nuisance managing composites with when you want the section to appear just as lines.
the best is to label the fills with a more description ID so when making a new composite they dont get mixed up and the intersections will still work as expected

I see this as a major problem.
It's a pain that we need to separate adjacent items artificially

Actually I think it gives you control to decide if you want adjoining element to join or not. Messy but not a major problem IMHO
