My team beta tested AC 11 and throughout the beta test the grid tool was available, albeit just as flawed as it was in 10. Then suddenly the tool was taken away from us when the final release came out. We were urged to used AC 11 on 'real' projects by graphisoft and so we did. We have real clients and we are working on a real $100m hotel and we need our grid tool back, asap.
*We have tried loading the RC1 grid tool but it doesn't get read by the final release.

OK everyone, time to contact Google. I used this web site. If you choose SketchUp Pro as your type of customer you'll get the chance to select "I want to contact tech support." Let's make sure they hear from us.

One of the good reasons (I thought) to upgrade to 11 was the ability to bring the Google sketchup models and bits and pieces directly in ArchiCAD.
We do a bit of sketchup work early on in our office.
If we can't use an advertised and marketed function in anything else (like a car or something) I would expect some sort of compensation for the missleading marketing.
Does anyone else agree?
Karl Barker.

MaxonForm connectivity add-on is scheduled for early August. The C4D add-on will follow a few weeks later
I'm also wondering why the C4D interface add-on is taking longer than the MaxonForm app itself, when you would think it provides the same functionality as is required to get the ArchiCAD model into/out-of MaxonForm - which is just C4D Lite no?

Our developers are in continuous talks with the SketchUp developers, but there is no solution yet. We hear clear and loud your frustration over this issue, but Graphisoft can't solve this isue alone.

Hi Ben,
Thank you for your note. We appreciate your feedback with regard to
creating a Mac compatible Archicad plug-in for Google SketchUp Pro 6. As
you may know, Graphisoft created the original plug-in. We'll reach out to
Graphisoft and see if we can identify the issues they're encountering.
Thanks again for your assistance.
Regards,
The Google Team

Karl wrote:Karl, it seems the html file in the packaged version was not updated to the AC11 version.
... and the HTML help file that is included has info and screenshots from AC 10 and not AC 11.
Please use the readme link on the left side of the goodies download page, those are up to date.
Sorry for the mistake.
