My team beta tested AC 11 and throughout the beta test the grid tool was available, albeit just as flawed as it was in 10. Then suddenly the tool was taken away from us when the final release came out. We were urged to used AC 11 on 'real' projects by graphisoft and so we did. We have real clients and we are working on a real $100m hotel and we need our grid tool back, asap.
*We have tried loading the RC1 grid tool but it doesn't get read by the final release.

• i can't get them to 'show on all stories'. this was part of my default settings: it was ignored. selecting them and switching from 'home storey only' to 'all stories' has no effect.

I was going to test Ben's bugs (say that 3 times fast), but am now experiencing a reproducible crash whenever I attempt to edit an existing grid system with the Grid System command. Unfortunately I must conclude that this tool is not ready and should be avoided until it is updated and can be tested again.

It looks like I won't be able to migrate until this is fixed, so I sincerely hope it is SOON .

That announcement is a bit rich!
Yes with hotfix 1040 for AC11 Grid Tool now included again with Goodies - but of course it no longer works usefully at all by default
Once placed, you can no longer edit the parameters of a grid object in any way in plan or elevation or section - unless by some arcane chance you happen to know that you need to manually enable normal functionality in a workspace sub menu (why on earth would anyone want it switched off ?)
Tool is worse than useless unless you know this trick, and default is bordering on insulting in fact (as if we are not to be trusted with the ability to edit scary technical things like grids)
