WINDOWS AND DOORS SEEN IN 3D MODEL BUT NOT PLAN

What settings or ... would be causing windows and doors to only appear in the 3D model and not the floor plan. I can place a door or window but do not see the symbol once placed only see it in elevation in the the model, suggestions, thank you????

Check that you Model View Option is set to "Show on Plans"

That was a good suggestion but the box "show on plans" is checked on both windows and doors.
So now what should I do ?

See if you have the 2D display option for the windows/doors set to 'symbolic' - they will then ignore the Floor Plan Cut Plane (FPCP) and will likely appear. Alternatively, change the cut plane height...

What Karl means is the floor plan display of the window in the Window settings dialog box.
