What matters in GPU form polygon count performance

Hi i use Archicad 16, and i have a model with a lot of polygons, when in 3D, I turn off Highlights, Emission, Smooth Surfaces, Textures, Sun shadows, contours, transparency and still when rotating 3d model i get around 4-5 frames per second. (all objects are set to 3 resolution, its a very large scene)
I have a intel i5-2500, 8 GB 1333mhz Ram, Geforce GTX 580 3 GB, 120 GB SSD, from nvidia settings all is set on performance. when rotating model the CPU uses 30% the videocard GPU around 15-20%. Tried every possible driver from nvidia. Im thinking about buying another Video card, but i dont know what in the GPU specs matters for high polygon count performance, i dont want smooth textures etc. just to process the high polygon count faster than my card. For what should i look in GPU specs, i only see texel fill rates, texture fill rates and etc. What matters most for high polygon count in a GPU!?
Can you recommend a GPU for what i am looking? Sorry for my english im from Bulgaria! Many thanks in regards!!!

Also my gtx 580 costs around 500$ , i tried the same model on a pc with slower processor and gtx 660 (not Ti) which costs around 200$, and the result is the same frames per second! If i sell my gtx 580 and buy 2-4 cheaper videocards and connect them, will they be more powerful at larger polygon count than a single gtx 580, I'm trying to understand what thing in the GPU specs matters most for polygons per second in archicad. I'm getting around 3 frames per second on a Toshiba laptop with very slow videocard - AMD 7670M 2GB. There seem to be a very small difference between cheap and expensive videocards in therm of polygons.

You should download and install the Polygon Count Goodie:

This is for the INT version:

Or here is the page for other language versions:

Please count the polygons in 3D with the help of the Add-On. Then we will have some idea of how large your 3D model really is.
The Add-On will also tell you which element types have the most polygons. Typically, it is GDL objects. That may also be important information.

Hi i measured the polygons: total : 2 898 089
Is that high?

That is pretty high. Something has an awful lot of polygons in your model.
Can you post the result of the Polygon Count Add-On? Please expand the objects group and see which objects have much more polygons than others. Maybe there are 2-3 object types that are responsible for hundreds of thousands of polygons.

The PolyCount shows that 88,76 % of all polygons are objects respectively
2 572 276 polygons, of them office chairs 18,56 %, chair 06 are 13,32 % and luxury car 14 - 8,09% That are the main things all others are around 1% I'll reduce the resolution of them. Thanks for the advice!!!

I'm still very confused why a top end video card supports the same frames per second as a more than twice cheaper videocard, talking only about polygons, Tried it on a Toshiba laptop with extremely low end AMD 7670M and the result i maybe only 15% worse! Not a matter of drivers, all drivers result the same!

Please read the following article. It hopefully will give you some further data about this situation:
