I have been out of the loop for a while but what are the latest rumors on the features and availability of Archicad 12?

Anyone who knows is not allowed to say, as they are bound by a strict non-disclosure statement. Best thing to do to guess the release date is realize that GS are on a yearly release schedule these days and try and remember when the last version was released.

Oh and then give or take a few months!

Cheers,
Link.

If I remember right, AC11 came out in late May/early June 2007 and GS is supposed to be on an annual update cycle. I'd expect AC12 around the same time unless GS makes any statements otherwise.

GS made an announcement on the 2nd May last year, with the release round about mid late May. Id expect the same again this year

You can usually tell whe all the Archi-gurus are too busy beta testing the new application to answer the usual questions, so the forum goes all quiet for a week or 2 .

Usually someone spills the beans about whats in the new system before the official announcement ( not that im encouraging or condoning this) but we are all dying to see what goodies are in store for us.

Maybe there should be an Archirumours site a bit like Macrumors.com!

Not very quiet now, is it? That would mean no beta testing yet, if your assumption holds. And we're only a few weeks from May. I think we can sit back for a while more... read Link's

Also, I wouldn't expect too much from this release. I think to turn a company that's had 18 months release cycles, or more, for 20 years, or more, over to a 12 months release cycle is a major task. On the other hand, that might mean that bug fixing and general polishing could be more prominent. That's not a bad thing, I think, if true.

Has it ever occurred to you that actual design work should be finished before leaving for the summer holidays, usually in June or so ??

Conspiracy theories ... 😉

I have consulted a few oracles and I am going to take a stab at the very end of June/ start of July

So much for the yearly upgrade cycle !!!!!!

The good news however is, due to a 14 month cycle this could be a major upgrade and not like the last upgrade - ie 10 to 11.
