I currently have v11 970 running very stable. If I upgrade to Leopard will it still work?

Build 1210 would run a lot better, on Tiger or Leopard. The key is your individual machine. What works for 10,000 other people may break on yours.

And, yet so many bug fixes have been made between build 970 and the current 1210.

Check out the signatures of various people here and you'll see lots of us running 1210 and Leopard. Consider that Leopard was not even released when build 970 was. 😉

I a little confused...

970 never worked for leopard.

What about 1040?

I assume 1200 and above works well?

When I upgraded my G5 to Leopard, everything (including ArchiCAD,) slowed. Increased RAM helped a lot, but the main thing I took away from the upgrade was the knowledge that Intel Macs were the best solution.
