Window cutting circular wall

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have drawn a cylindrical wall and am placing round windows in it - see attachment. All windows are ok except for one that falls on what appears to be a thin gray vertical line in the wall (there are 2 of these lines in the wall across from each other). The windows that hit the gray lines cut the wall on one side of the lines but not on the other side - its as if the wall is actually made up of 2 equal segments and only one gets cut. How do I get the window to cut both segments?

Hello Michael:

When Archicad makes a circular wall, it splits them into halves to avoid a double negative calculation. Don't ask me what that means.

A window straddling the joint only appears in one wall segment.

Either rotate the wall parts so that no window straddles the seam or place another window in the other wall and drag them together.

That's just what happens. Archicad does it this way. Easiest way to get around it is to rotate the wall combo half the distance between the windows, and then move the windows only back. The joint will then be between two windows.
