Windows tool error when put on profiled wall

Anonymous

Hello everybody,

I experience a strange problem with the windows that i put on some profiled walls. I have attached 4 comparative images in oreder to be more explicit.

The problem is when i set the window in the cutplan it appears affsetted in section, the oposite happens if i set it correctly in the section. I found no middle variable, still I believe it is a BUG of Archicad. Can anyone give an opinion. Did somebody experienced something like this ? How did you solve this problem?

Any reply will be appreciated,

Where is the center of the profile? This dictates the window location.

Not so unless I've missed something over the years. The window location will be based on the anchor for the window (head or sill) and where it touches the profiled wall... as well as the opening lines set in Profile Manager.

I'm not fully seeing the problem in your screenshots... If your Floor Plan Cutplane is through that upper, unsupported (?) wall segment, then the window should appear inside that wall in plan. The section views suggest that you have the window anchor set to 'sill' and have it above the jog in one view, and slightly below the jog (picking up the outer wall surface) in the other view.
