Zone stamp not displaying area properly?

Thought I would give the zone tool a spin and am having some trouble.
If possible, I would like to use the zone tool to give each room a name, as opposed to using text to define the room name. I was hoping that doing this would also place the room name on my building sections at some established height above my project zero line? Is this possible? I have a lot of building sections and was hoping that this would be a good way to get familiar with the zone tool and save some time labeling rooms on more than a dozen sections. I would prefer not to see shading or any kind of outline on the floor plan, but did want to define the space for the area take off to be displayed. Right now I have that turned off because it was not displaying area correctly (I'll include a screen shot below) Opting to show the area was intuitive, trying to figure out why it wasn't correct was not and I gave up after about an hour.

When I started, I thought it would be easy to at least show the room name, ceiling height, and area. Volume would be really cool but I don't want to seem too greedy. I'd be happy If someone would help me to figure out how to get the room names on the floor plan so they also show on the building sections.

Thanks, Jon

Thanks richard. I'm shocked that archicad doesn't do this out of the box. I havn't used paypal for a couple of years - guess I have to update some info. first. 24 building sections I really should look at anyway. Maybe I'll just type in the room names while I'm there.
Do you have any idea why the area display on the zone stamp is not working?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Sorry, no clue about the zone stamp. I'd try another zone stamp to see if it's any better.
