Zone tool gives the dreaded 'no closed polygon... etc' error message

I have a rectangular plan room - four walls, created in a single stroke with the Wall tool set to the Rectangular construction method, so all connections are precise and correct. All four walls are 'Existing', same wall base and height. All in the same layer.

All walls are set to be Zone Boundary.

I keep getting the error message: "No closed polygon found around the clicked point. Note: Elements may not be connected properly, or may not form a closed polygon due to their renovation status."

The Zone tool is even set to create the Zone on the same layer as the walls, same height. I have tried both with 'Existing' as well as 'New' renovation filter for the zone.

What am I missing?

PS In other projects I have created Zones (automatic ones) which are defined by a mix or 'existing' and 'new' walls, some of which are also trimmed by roofs etc. And I have just opened one of them to confirm this.

SOLVED - It's the Design Option, argh.

Some walls in my project are in the Main Model option - some others are in one of the other options. And my Zone was by default on 'Main Model' - guess what, it doesn't work like that, it needs to be on the specific design option...

1. Are you clicking inside the four walls when placing the automatic zone?
2. Can you select the 4 walls and 'intersect' to ensure they're closed properly

I had tried absolutely everything under the sun...

Except the Design Options...
