ac 17 can a wall trim a shell

Normally we are trimming walls to shells. I am building a vaulted ceiling inside an existing building with some curved walls and walls that are angled in plan but I can't get the shell to be trimmed by the wall? Is there a way to do this, should I convert to a morph?

A Wall can SEO a Shell, but SEOs only work vertically. A screen shot would be very helpful in explaining what you want to accomplish.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

Apologies for the late reply. Still looking for help with this. Here is where I am, I have both the morph and shell in this image and am looking to trim either one to the walls

As David said SEOs only work vertically so if you are trying to trim the shell that extends past the side of a wall that won't do.
You can define a "Shell Contour" that will affect the extents of your shell.

With a morph you could split off the parts you don't need or just manipulate its shape.

thanks for the reply, I checked in with Graphisoft on this and learned you can use the solid element tool edit targets and operators to trim and cut shells with walls. But the really cool one similar to define contours is create a hole in a shell. that is working for me. Cheers
