Hello, How to make ID and dimension appear automatically on the section of the Beam or Column plan? Thanks

So you asked about showing the ID and dimension - which you can do with a label.

 

The display of the beam in section, you can't automatically show with dashed lines or a cross.

It is a section of a 3D element and there are no dashed lines in 3D - you are seeing the solid edge of the beam.

And beams do not have a cross section symbol.

You will have to add these lines yourself.

 

Columns in plan however can have dashed lines for the core of the column (and veneer if you have that as well) as they are a 2D representation of the column and 2D can have dashed lines.

Have you tried placing an autotext label with the autotext for the ID and size?

The text itself will be automatic, but you will have to place the label yourself.

Thanks for your help. I have tried it but I still can't illustrate the section with the lines as shown in the picture.
