centering text in its text frame

There is a checkbox in the text selection settings in Text Block Formatting to put a frame around your text. I think this is great. However, the text is not centered within that frame. I've changed the "leading" on the text and that seems to have no effect on the frame placement. Anyone know how to get the frame centered around the text?

Have you tried center justified ?

I have tried "justified" and "centered" but found nothing that is both "justified" and "centered" as an option. Am I missing something?

It also depends how your text was created. Did you place a text box first then your text? Or did you double click and then enter your text?

Either way, if you uncheck Text Wrapping in your Text Settings, you'll get a better idea of how it works.

If you do the same thing you just did with the distance between the frame and the text at zero you will see what I mean. It won't be centered. It looks good with a big frame but not with a small frame. The small frame is what I need for my construction documents. Otherwise the text won't fit in the drawing.
