changing a detail ID - can it be done?

Anonymous
Not applicable
please need help
working in AC9
have entered a reference ID for a new detail
want to change it
so that the ID in the detail title that shows up in Plotmaker reflects that changed ID
AC help says it can be done in the Navigator Project Map
Tried it both in the Navigator project map & the id is not accessible
Tried it in the project map side of the Navigator Editor& still not accessible
Can this be done, or am I stuck with the detail ID as originally entered?
thanks

Could you post a screen shot of the problem?
Should be done in the Navigator's Project Map.

In ver 9 Detail IDs must be unique, maybe you are trying to change to an ID already assigned. ver 10 has done away with this limitation
