i need help with this type of roof

You may be able to form It using a mesh and then use the mesh to roof converter add-on from the Goodies. A morph may also achieve that.

Maybe a rotated shell?

You can define the shell contour in plan (draw circles, trim them and then magic wand).

Create a hole (draw circle and magic wand).
