complex wall caping modelling

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello,

I need to model a piece of exterior "standalone" wall with a complex caping profile. I am not highly acquainted with GDL modelling and cannot see how can I model this with "regular" AC objects.

Suggestions on how can I accomplish this are most welcome.

Please see attached DWG for object elevations.

Many thanks in advance and I apologize for posting an Autodesk non-BIM file. 🙂

I am using AC13.

Use Beam from Complex Profile to cut the top of the Wall.

Hi Andro55

Many thanks for your help. How do I subtract the beam from the wall?

Take a look at OBJECTiVE. It will make this task very easy. I simply selected the shapes you drew, created an Elevation profile for it with OBJECTiVE > Component > New Profile. You can so this directly in an elevation view to draw it in situ. These profiles can also be bent to a curve (see image).
