concept design drawing

I am starting a new project and I would like to draw the concept designs like volumes linked to stories height. To be more specific, I would like to draw only the area of the rooms, with no walls and then convert the area automatically to a a volume via linked to the height story. When I have the concept design approved I will start drawing walls and so on.

To summarise it is like if I start designing creating zones instead of walls, stairs and so.

You can draw zones using manual methods instead of Inner edge.
After that you can show your zones in 3D using Filter and Cu Elements in 3D under View-> Elements in 3D view.
Additionally you can change the surfaces of the zones to better view
