curved beams?

Hello all,
Is it possible to draw/ model a curved beam?
I have made a custom profile of a cornice that wraps a building. One part of the building is rounded. Is it possible to create a curved beam that will clean up nicely with the rest?

Sadly the beam too does not curve. You can use a profiled wall though.

If you want to make it out of Beams though, you will have to use short Beam segments to achieve the curve. You may use Magic Wand to do it: draw the intended curve then SPACE-click with the Beam Tool selected. You can even SPACE-click a Spline this way.

It is written in my previous post:
draw the intended curve (with the Arc Tool) then SPACE-click this curve with the Beam Tool selected.
Since there can only be straight Beam segments after SPACE-clicking with the Beam Tool selected the curve will be approximated by Beam segments. The segments will be generated based on settings in the Magic Wand Settings Dialog.

THANKS A LOT Mr.laszlonagy . There are a lot of tricks needs to study and practice.

Or you can make it with the wall tool.

thanks Erika . but i needed to make it with beam element to be under quantity surveying of all beams . thanks

Khater,
It sounds like you might have to do some fiddling with how you are extracting the quantities. If you have a lot of individual straight segments each will count as a separate quantity item. Using the a custom profile to create a curved beam or a wall and tagging them as Beams may be easier to get accurate quantities.
Which version of AC are you using?

erika, i am using AC 15 . i solved this problem of segments of curved beam by named its with the same ID and that is to search y ID to make the quantities schedule .but i didn't use the tag way to make identify as a beam !
