cuting planes

I have a problem with cuting planes. I can cut a house in 3d and it looks OK, but in floor plan I stil see whole house. http://shrani.si/f/1q/9O/J7OogSA/zajeta-slika.png

How do i cut the house final permanently? I am using version 17.

The 3D Cutaway only affects the 3D model, not the floor plan. If you can provide a clearer explanation of what you are trying to accomplish (why you want to save a part of the model in plan), then you may get some good suggestions.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

I am drawing duplex and now I would like ti dimension just half of the bulding- one apartment. I tryed with split tool, but it doesnt work on every objects..

Thanks for adding the signature.

One solution is to add a white fill over the parts of the other unit you want to hide (this fill can be on the same layer as the Dimensions), then use the Display Order so this fill is above the other unit's elements, but below the dimensions. The Display Order is only affects the 2D, the model will not be changed.

Oh simple solution. I have been torutiring with split and solid element operation and so on..

Next time you might find it easier to model each duplex half in its own PLN file.
Then hotlink the second file into the first - placing a hotlink in a layer that can be turned off when you want to see only the first half.
Or better still create a third file (I would do this for the site plan) and hotlink both duplex halves into it placing the hotlinks in the Archicad layer.
Then you can use your regular layer combinations to view both duplex halves together and you have the separate file for when you want each half on its own.
