cutting plain

is there a way of ditching the cutting plain all together? for example the attachment bellow..

walls around the media and the powder etc are teh same wall... but the walls around the media room are not showing the solid fill like the the rest of the walls (solid black fill). im assuming this is due to the top of the media room walls being lower then the stories cutting plain?? is there a way to loose the cutting plain and just have it all looking the same? (ie solid black fil on all the internal walls) without just moving the cutting plain lower

Make the walls "Symbolic Cut" and floor plan cut plane will be disregarded.
But if the walls are only part height why not show them in a different manner?

there the same height.. just the media room is 1/2 a flight of stairs below the other area. 90% of our jobs are up the side of hills, so floor plans are split and terraced quite alot.. the cutting plan is causing the guys on site to ask "why is that wall differnt to that one when there both the same"
