Hi, Could you please help me How I can show my deck? I used element

The mesh is the target.

The slab (deck) is the operator.

'Subtract with upwards extrusion' should do the job.

Hi Barry, Thanks for your reply. It's not working. I did it several times

Look at the screenshot below. It's still like that.

It is hard to know what is happening by just looking at images.

Can you place a marquee in approximately this area, so we can see what is happening in section?

You can paste the screen capture directly in the reply message rather than attaching it as a file.

Ok, I just highlighted for you to make more sense.

Here is the deck and mesh. I used Solid Element Operation tool as the deck operator and the mesh is target as you mentioned that but when I do that It shows the line of the deck as uploaded the second picture here and the mesh still on the deck.

And also this tool( solid element operation) doesn't work for the another side of the building. I feel like maybe there is something wrong with my mesh.

 Thanks Barry for your help

I need to see a section through the mesh and deck so I can see how they are interacting.

I am suspecting that the slab has been SEOed by the mesh so it no longer can cut the mesh - but as I say it is hard to tell from images.

Meshes can be notoriously finicky with SEO, especially when you start doing a few of them.

Maybe cancel all the SEOs and try again.

Or my fall back, just cut a hole in the mesh around the deck (or entire building).

You can always add another mesh underneath if you need to see it in section.

Hi FP, I was going to suggest cutting a hole in the mesh too. You probably know the process but Select the mesh with the mesh tool activated, get the wand to highlight the perimeter of the building and then check cut a hole. See if that makes it look a bit better ?

I delete the mesh of the building and drew the mesh for the building again and used the SEO tool and It worked for the deck but now It seems the mesh on the slab of the building and used the SEO for it and didn't work.😭

Oh no ! Have you tried drawing a morph about the same size as your deck and use that as on operator instead to see if that works ? If it works you can turn the morph off afterwards.

Edit: you can also do the SEO with an intersection instead of a subtraction to see if that will do the trick before trying a morph.
