where would i find display settings and floor plan display settings? this is the problem with the archicad help within the program itself, it says how to do things but doesnt say where they are located.

i cant beleive archicad have dropped this facility from the program so now i am gonna have to physically go round and draw all the lines in manually to thicken it up. this is the last time i use A11, i'm going straight back onto A10 after this model!

percybigun wrote:Surely this is controlled by a combination of the outline pen colour setting in the individual elements, and the appropriate pen set that has that particular pen number mapped to a specific thickness and colour - exactly the same way in AC10. (Although set out in more of a tablular form than previous versions.)
usually in A9 and A10 i set up my 2D elevations so the outlines of the walls and roofs of buildings are in a thicker (say 0.35mm) black line, and the hatching of these walls i set to 0.18 grey line.
in A11 it doesnt seem to let me do this, all i can do is have the whole elevation coloured (but i need black and white drawings) or in B/W i can only have every pen on the elevation the same thickness
Make sure you
ArchiCAD cannot and never has been able to do this automaticly, it is something you have to set up yourself by assigning the correct pen weights etc beforehand.
Hope that helps!
Pete.

i used to do it in 9 and 10 by setting all wall outlines to 0.35, then in section settings i would tick "cut elements own pen colours", and in model elements all i ticked was vectorial 3d hatching, and it worked.
just think i have sussed it, i had to go into material settings and change the vectorial hatching element pen to number 8 (0.13)

I assume you would have had 'Uniform pen colour of uncut elements' unticked in model effects in AC10 for it to print the way you required.

I'm glad you sorted it anyway!!
