What are folks using these days in 8.1 instead of profiler?

not sure what you mean . . . the profiler i guess. are you asking because you've installed 8.1 and the profiler isn't in your tool menu on launching archiCAD?

it's not an installed add-on by default (lord knows why!) and AFAIR never has been - you have to use the add-on manager to load it up. it can be found in your goodies folder.

C'mon, Djordje, Steve's a new poster and we don't want to make him or others bashful about asking questions.

But, I second your suggestion of ArchiForma as an alternative to Profiler for people who do a lot of extrusions-along-paths (and more of course) ... visual hotspot editing of the extrusion path (in 3D and 2D) is just one example of where ArchiForma goes far beyond the old (but serviceable) Profiler tool. See the attached screenshot where a curbing extrusion is being stretched - in this case changing the radius of the curve. Notice the dynamic rubber band lines. (There are editable hotspots at every point where the path changes direction.) Cool.

OOOPS! Not intended! Sorry, Steve - I am nagging about the Goodies folder for years, and still nothing ... so my frustration is showing?

Mhm, and the vertical movement too ... and the ability to do the 3D polylines in S/E windows ... too cool NOT to reccommend!
