it's not an installed add-on by default (lord knows why!) and AFAIR never has been - you have to use the add-on manager to load it up. it can be found in your goodies folder.

But, I second your suggestion of ArchiForma as an alternative to Profiler for people who do a lot of extrusions-along-paths (and more of course) ... visual hotspot editing of the extrusion path (in 3D and 2D) is just one example of where ArchiForma goes far beyond the old (but serviceable) Profiler tool. See the attached screenshot where a curbing extrusion is being stretched - in this case changing the radius of the curve. Notice the dynamic rubber band lines. (There are editable hotspots at every point where the path changes direction.) Cool.
