Use Complex Profile associated to Wall.

Draw half of the profile in plan with lines/polyline, then use the magic wand with the shell tool, choose 360 degrees then in 3d free-rotate the object so it's upright. I think the shell tool would be better than using profile and wall.
Before the shell tool, I would have used a custom profile and a wall

I quickly made this with an image I found online (low quality) and spent less than 2 minutes on it. So quite easily done.

im not so clear on this step ?

any help would be super.
thank you.

i created the ball now, then reduced the size until the middle point is almost closed.... so a 99 percent ball

i changed the profile, to carry on a little past the middle axis and it seems to have worked.

but maybe if this element is made transparent (material) it could be possible to see the overlap of geometry?

Hi Ian,

To make a dome with a profile, you need to:
- Start drawing a circle but only make it 90 degree (horizontal to vertical)
- Offset this arc (on the inside) to give the thickness of the dome.
- Draw lines to connect both arc at the ends
- Magic wand with fill tool inside these lines to create the fill
- Make sure that all these elements are placed correctly with reference to the origin node (which you can see as an X), this will affect association with the wall, it is better to associate with the bottom node where the arc starts (not the top point)
- Store this profile
- Remember the width of the arc that you made
- In plan, draw a circle of the same radius as your profile
- Magic wand wall onto this circle in plan and associate this profile to these walls. Should match perfectly now

I can clarify any point if need be.
