I don't seem to be able to get this shortcut command...what key is the first symbol on the extreme left next to the command symbol? I tried control, alt and shift and they just don't seem to get the multiple command work...please help. thanks

Start the drag command (CMD-D). If you then hit the Option key a small plus appears next to your cursor to drag a copy. If you hit Option AND Command keys you will get 2 plus symbols next to your cursor which indicates multiple copies.

Also works with rotate and mirror commands
