perspective views on layouts

I might have missed this one, but I used to be able to export my 3d perspective views in AC9, as a PMK, and then drop them onto a layout and it looked very good. Now, in AC11, when I try to export, I can't go as a PMK. Not only that, I can do a TIF but the resolution is horrible, the graphics are unacceptable. I like to put a big interior perspective in the background of my cover sheets, and to do that with TIF's it looks childish at best. When I had the scaled PMK's I could change the size and the graphics looked terriffic. How can I achieve this with AC11?

I have tried simply putting my quickview on the layout sheet, but I just get a tangled mess of diagonal lines. Unusable. Then I used the "save view and place on layout" command, and I got the same thing. But my 3d window looks as it should. Am I missing something or doing something wrong here? What options do I have? Thanks for any help.

Thanks,

I usually click Save Current View in the View Map like you have mentioned and it comes out fine. If you are trying to do a rendering then inside the View Map Settings you need to make sure under the 3D Only tab you have changed the Generate In to Photorendering Window. Once I have saved the view I then go to the Layout that i want it on then Drag the View I saved onto the Layout. Hpe this helps.

thanks

I tried it again after I got your note and it worked - I have no idea what was going on earlier!
