"Extend to" command?

Is there an "extend to" command in Archicad like in Autocad by any chance? I went through the manual but I couldn't find anything. Something that can be applied to a single line (or element) but also to a set of lines for example.

I have also found that the "intersect" command doesn't always work, what is the reason?

Never having used autocad, I don't know what Extend to does.
By any chance will the archicad Adjust command be what you are looking for?

Extend to is a command in which you choose the element you wish to extend to other elements: for instance you have multiple lines and you want to intersect them with another line that you have just drawn on the other side of the screen. In Autocad you can do it by selecting the extend to command, highlight the lines you want to extend, and choose the one you want to extend them to and they all automatically lenghten. Anythign close in Archicad?

I don't know what's the problem with my intersect command, sometimes it doesn't work, I thought it could be because I was trying to intersect different elements (line and polylines) but now that I have changed them it still doesn't work. Does it only work on coplanar elements by any chance? (sorry my mind is still set in autocad...)

It is called Adjust and it does the equivalente of "extend" at a 100% and most of the functions of trim too, though sometimes it is easier to use Split. Look for them in the Edit Menu under Reshape…

Yes, thanks guys, that's it: it's the adjust command.
I still can't work the intersect command though, even if I use it on two lines of the same type. mysteries...

Intersect is the equivalent of Fillet with radius 0.

Intersect does not work with polylines. You can explode the polylines into normal lines then perform the intersect command. Afterward, you can recombine the lines back into a polyline with the Unify command.

Remember you can invoke the Adjust command by simply holding down the COMMAND key (CTRL on PC's IIRC).

You need to have to tool of the elements you want to extend (or cut) active. So if you're extending walls, have the wall tool active, lines, the line tool, etc. Otherwise you will end up with a hotspot at the intersection point (which really annoys me, have they changed that in AC14?). So select the elements you want to adjust, then hold CMD down and click on the element you want to extend (or cut) to. Works to guidelines too.
