"Merge" 3D pln files and rendering

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have 5 different large buildings from different pln files and a separate file with the topography. I want to assemble these into one file that i can render in either archicad/artlantis/photoshop.
what is the best way to do this?

Not sure my computer can handel to copy paste the whole buildings into the topography file, is there perhaps some sort of more compromised format i can export/import?

Thanks!

You could try to hotlink the PLNs either directly into the same file (maybe the topography) file or export them first as modules (use the publisher to batch publish .mod files) then hotlink the modules into one file.

How big are your files and how much RAM does your computer have?

The buildings are about 21 Mb each and the RAM memory is 4 Gb.
Is it possible to hotlink an entire 3D file? as far as i have tried I've only been able to hotlink floor plans.

Your files are not very big - however you should really consider getting mor RAM. Yes with direct hot links you would need to link stories individually, however you can export a multi story module (.MOD) and then reference these into one file. it's reasonably straightforward.
