railway bridge style walkway?

i've been asked to do a model and some sectional details of a new walkway, which is going on the side of a railway building of historical interest and the conservation officer wants it to be in "the style of a bridge from the old railway era"

how would you guys go about tackling the model, and is there anywhere i could crib some cad details of this type of thing (kinda like fancy wrought ironwork, old girders with rivets etc)

I think we'd need a little more detail, like maybe a sketch or a photo. It's hard to offer suggestions on a method when we don't know what it looks like 😉

A small model like that, I would model piece by piece to get the right feeling. Small things often need more detail overall than a large model.

But I would first make a sketch modell and then brake it down to smaller pieces.
