renovation override not working

Dave Brach

I have existing walls with a 25% solid fill. I set the renovation status "to be demolished", set the renovation filter to "demolition plan". In filter settings I override elements to be demolished, and then in override styles I set the fill type to "block masonry" and color to 101. Back in the view, the color of the fill for those walls changes but not the fill type, which appears to stay at 25% solid. Why? this is driving me nuts.

Dave:

I think the issue is the use of a Solid Fill for the wall (25% in your example), changing this to a Vectorial Fill will work as desired. You will need to create a Vectorial Fill that approximates the 25% Solid Fill. Start by duplicating a similar Vectorial Fill, (for example Stucco) and changing its Spacing to get the desired tone of grey.

OK, so if an existing wall to be demolished has a solid fill, it cannot be overridden with a vectorial fill. Thanks, David.

Note to Graphisoft: I did not see that anywhere in the reference guide!
