solid element operatin failing

I have created a complex profile for the coping on top of a facade wall, and applied the profile to a wall.  The facade has three walls--one in the center and two on the sides.  I am doing a SEO subtraction with upward extrusion with the 3 facade walls as targets, and the coping wall as operator.  Works fine for the side walls but the center wall will not work.  The material strength for the coping wall is weaker than the other walls

The coping wall needs to be stronger than the facade walls.

Walls will automatically try to trim each other even without SEO.

It they are automatically trimming, then there is no overlapping wall to use for the SEO.

So you may need to put them in different layers with different intersection group numbers so they don't automatically trim.

Or use a beam for the coping and just make sure the beam has stronger materials as they also automatically trim a wall.

Using a beam solved the problem. Thanks. I should have known that since walls don't always play well together.
