suspend groups is not working

hi guys!
I'm a student and new to Archicad!
Any of the Grouping commands is not working...
specifically now, I need to use the Suspend groups tool. I tried the edit>grouping>suspend groups command, the keyboard shortcut as well, and the icon on the standard toolbar. no respond whatsoever..
If it has any meaning, i'm using Mac OS 11.2.3
please help!

Why are you on Mac OS 11.2? What version of ARCHICAD are you trying to run?
