I am new to archicad and am specifically interested in timber and green oak structural frames. does anyone know how good archicad would be, or if there is an add on product that would make the production of timber structural elements easy or parametric? thanks Dan

Used to do a lot of post and beam construction. The attached is the first frame I ever built. This was probably modeled in ArchiCAD 4.1 a long time ago. Should be easier now.

Encina Ltd have developed FrameWright, an ArchiCAD add-on designed specifically for oak framing. I see Lennox has already given you the URL for our product (thanks ), and I can put you in touch with framers using the product if you wish. Either use our contact page http://www.encina.co.uk/contact.html or contact me privately through ArchiCAD-Talk.

Regards,

Ralph.
