tracker stuck to project origin

I am new and self taught from Archicad 14 student edition,
(before that I drew by hand).
I just bought Archicad start 2011 and I am having trouble adjusting.
The biggest problem now is that my tracker seems stuck on the project origin.
None of the toggles in the menus seem to allow me to reference the edit origin. I never had this problem in the Educational Version.
Am I missing something?

If I understand you, your coordinates are based on the project origin, rather than relative? See the attached screenshot of the tracker enable/disable button in the standard toolbar. Just next to it is a triangle - click it to get the pop-up menu shown and select "Relative Coordinates in Tracker".

If that's not what you mean, please explain more...

Thanks so much to both of you for replying.
The screen shot did the trick. A little help goes a long ways.
(my operating system was Windows XP. but I think my son upgraded it to
something higher).
