want distance box to stay on while drawing walls

Not applicable
I'm new to ArchiCAD v 13, and my dilemma is that I can't figure out how to keep the distance box on whenever I start drawing walls. When I start a new drawing it stays on for a while, then seems to disappear as I continue to work on the drawing.

I want to be able to see how long a wall is as I draw it.

I'm using the trial version to see if I want to stick wtih the program. Does using the trial version limit the capability of certain things?

I believe the "distance box" you are referring to is the Tracker.

Go to Options > Work Environment > Tracker and Coordinate Input -- make sure the box next to "Show Tracker" is checked.
