Opening input in Section/Elevation

You can create voids and Openings directly in Sections, Elevations, and Interior Elevations—no need to switch to Floor Plan or 3D views every time. This lets you add Openings in whichever view best suits your workflow, making the process more convenient and reducing the need for workarounds.

Dark Mode on macOS

Many users prefer Dark Mode in a variety of applications. With full support for Dark Mode on Mac, Archicad gives you the working environment you like best.

Renovation Status for Markers

To increase consistency with Renovation workflows, you can create documentation sets that reflect element changes by assigning renovation statuses to Section, Elevation, and other markers. You no longer need to use layer-based workarounds to hide or show markers in different renovation filters, making your renovation documentation more accurate and your workflow smoother.

Easily rotate element 90 degrees (left/right)

Rotating elements by fixed increments like 90 degrees is a common task, and currently, it requires many steps/clicks and it's error-prone. With a new shortcut, you will be able to select and rotate elements easily by 90 degree increments left and right to simplify their modelling and documentation workflows.

Set Resolution for 3D Views

If you use 3D views on Layouts for easier visualization compared to creating renders, you’ll be able to increase the resolution of 3D window images on output, no workarounds needed. When placing 3D Views on Layouts, you can now generate high-DPI images without needing to enlarge the window itself – a limitation especially relevant on macOS due to screen size constraints. As Physically Based Rendering continues to evolve and 3D views remain a widely used drawing type, being able to set resolution directly will simplify your workflow and ensure consistency across features.

Separate start/end arrowheads for Lines, Arcs, Polylines and Splines

For 2D drafting of items, such as stairs, walking paths, escape routes or diagrams, that indicate a start and an end, you will be able to use lines, arcs, polylines and splines with different arrowheads on both sides. (e.g. circle on start, arrow on end) This will provide greater flexibility for the supported element types.

Interactive Schedule formatting and UI improvements

To support additional graphical flexibility and visually pleasing outputs with less workarounds to Schedules, you will be able to make additional changes to their interactive schedule formatting. Here is the list of improvements: Hiding/customising Zero values and the hardcoded “---” non-evaluated character Further customising the background colours to allow visual grouping of similar fields Show/hide units for totals and grand totals, and customize a prefix and suffix for showing a custom unit This way, you don't need to manually adjust things on the layouts or send their schedules to Excel for further formatting. These improvements will make the workflow easier and meet required formatting based on office standards.

Find & Clean Up Unused Views

As the project progresses, unused views are accumulating in the navigator, and it is challenging to determine whether a view is placed or not. To organize views and manage projects effectively, a search function for unused views will be available within Archicad. This way, it becomes easy and transparent to work with views (finding the ones not yet being used or the ones that are already unnecessary). With this, complex projects are easier to maintain because cluttered views can be eliminated.
Archicad

Easily Expand/Collapse Folders

Quickly expand or collapse entire folder hierarchies in tree views to streamline navigation, making it easier to manage complex projects.

OBJ import

OBJ formats are essential in Schematic Design and Design Development phases for effectively communicating models or importing library objects from third parties. Currently there is no native support within Archicad to import OBJ formats. Delivering the native import feature of the popular OBJ file format would make the 3rd-party workflow even more versatile and easy-to-use with virtually no need for third-party solutions.
