Separate start/end arrowheads for Lines, Arcs, Polylines and Splines

For 2D drafting of items, such as stairs, walking paths, escape routes or diagrams, that indicate a start and an end, users will be able to use lines, arcs, polylines and splines with different arrowheads on both sides. (e.g. circle on start, arrow on end) This will provide greater flexibility for the supported element types.

Add-on store

The Add-on Store in Archicad offers users an easy way to extend their products. For developers, it is a way to sell solutions directly, without additional download and licensing processes.
Add-ons Archicad

Set Resolution for 3D Views

Archicad users who place 3D views on Layouts for easier visualisation compared to creating renders will increase the resolution of 3D Window images on output, without workarounds. When saving images directly from the 3D window, the image can be higher-dpi than the window size. This way, users don't have to make the 3d window size bigger, which is not even possible on MacOS due to OS based screen size limitation. As we develop Physically Based Rendering, and 3D views are a common drawing type already, setting resolution to them will simplfy the workflows and provide consistancy between features.

Renovation Status for Markers

To increase consistency of the software with Renovation workflows, Archicad users working on renovation projects can create documentation sets consistent with element changes by assigning renovation statuses for Section, Elevation and other markers. They no longer have to resort to layer-based workarounds to hide/show markers in different renovation filters.

Easily rotate element 90 degrees (left/right)

Rotating elements by fixed increments like 90 degrees is a common task, and currently, it requires many steps/clicks and it's error-prone. With a new shortcut, Archicad users will be able to select and rotate elements easily by 90 degree increments left and right to simplify their modelling and documentation workflows.

Simplify the 'change page' and 'relink document' workflows of placed PDF drawings

When a PDF file changes (more pages are added/removed) or be duplicated, currently, to relink to another page, users need to relink the entire file, by finding the source of the PDF file and going through the -place drawing process again. To simplfy the PDF workflows with less clicks, Archicad users can move easily and relink to another page without having to relink the original file on the Layout, Worksheet or Plan by using the Drawing tool and not the Drawing Manager.

Interactive Schedule formatting and UI improvements

To support additional graphical flexibility and visually pleasing outputs with less workarounds to Schedules, architects, designers and engineers managing projects through all design stages, will be able to make additional changes to their interactive schedule formatting. Here is the list of improvements: Hiding/customising Zero values and the hardcoded “---” non-evaluated character Further customising the background colours to allow visual grouping of similar fields Show/hide units for totals and grand totals, and customize a prefix and suffix for showing a custom unit This way, users don't need to manually adjust things on the layouts or send their schedules to Excel for further formatting. These improvements will make the workflow easier and meet required formatting based on office standards.

OBJ import

Architects and designers in Schematic Design or Design Development phases, working with third-party modelling and rendering applications, sometimes require OBJ formats to either communicate their models effectively or import library objects from third-parties. Currently there is no native support within Archicad to import and export OBJ formats. Delivering the native import and export feature of the popular OBJ file format would make the 3rd-party workflow even more versatile and easy-to-use with virtually no need for third-party solutions.

Search function for unused views

As the project progresses, unused views are accumulating in the navigator, and it is challenging to determine whether a view is placed or not. To organize views and manage projects effectively, a search function for unused views will be avaiable within Archicad. This way, it becomes easy and transparent to work with views (finding the ones not yet being used or the ones that are already unnecessary). With this, complex projects are easier to maintain because cluttered views can be eliminated.
Archicad

Opening input in Section/Elevation

Architects and designers, including mechanical and structural engineers, working on creating voids and Openings in the model, can easily create Openings directly in Sections, Elevations and Interior Elevations, without having to switch always to Floor Plan or 3D views. They can create Openings in the view that is most convenient for the situation. It improves convenience for users when creating openings and reduce workarounds.

Archicad-Bimplus connection - add-on development

With a direct connection between Archicad and BIMplus we ensure data exchange and real-time collaboration between users, enabling easier management and access to documents, models and issues. Team members can access the project and its data from anywhere so that all members are working with the most up-to-date information. This integration ultimately enhances efficiency, collaboration, and the overall quality of architectural projects.
Add-ons Archicad

Support IFC 4.3

IFC 4.3 file versions can be handled by Archicad users for both import and export based workflows. This way, all designers can exchange models in the latest format of IFC, so that they are always compatible with all requirements. IFC 4.3 is a harmonized IFC extension for sharing information models of infrastructure works, building on previous standards work covering Building, Alignment, Infrastructure, Architecture and Bridge Constructions.

Archicad-Bluebeam enhanced connection

For fast and uncomplicated design reviews, we have enchanced our bi-directional connection with our sister brand, Bluebeam. Bluebeam Studio Connection, a cloud based collaboration solution, is integrated within Archicad. Archicad users first publish their PDFs and then upolad them to Bluebeam Cloud through a palette inside Archicad. After initiating the Bluebeam online session by an Archicad user, any other users who are invited to this session can then mark things up and add comments within thier browsers. These markups can be transfered back to Archicad as issues via the Issue Organizer. The workflow provides easy access to the participants and improves the project organization and efficiency of the construction administration process.
