hello - recently downloaded some BIM stuff from Roseburg (EWP-engineered wood product) mfg. that we heavily utilize. Trying to learn or figure out how to access these files in AC27 (*.rfa; *.skp)? I did add the folder to the library but not sure what next or if even any of these extension files can be coordinated with AC27.
Operating system used: Mac Intel-based Sonoma 14.4.1

BIMComponents can be access directly from the native tool search. The objects are native to AC. In regards to the doors and windows, most of them should be adjustable much like the ones included in your default library.

Hi @Zdenko
I can't find exactly what type of product it is or the contents of those .rfa or .skp files, but my suggestion is to replicate those specifications with Archicad's native tools. That is, if they are structural profile sections, create them as complex profiles; if they are building surfaces or materials, add them to your attribute collection. This way they will always be part of your template and will run smoothly in the software. Sometimes third-party objects are full of useless geometry and data.

they are related to Revit and Sketchup from little research i have done so far. not critical but at some point would like to use 3rd party vendor images, details and technical specifications to add to my set of documents.
thanks Ricardo and have a great weekend.

i may get yelled at for using this post, but it is BIM related 🙂
i noticed that Graphisoft has BIMComponents (https://bimcomponents.com/ & https://www.bimobject.com/) available with old dates? am i to assume that AC27 has all of these in the release or do i need to download independently of current version being used.
also, noticed that elements, such as, doors can be downloaded, through BIM portal, if not in the current library, but it would be nice to know dimension before downloading, unless their is a complete folder ready for download. just asking to see how others deal with this kind of stuff. i have an *.icf extension file downloaded but will wait on response or where to find solutions.
