Can someone tell the origin of the BM ID's please. Which categories do they relate to?

Hi David,
The INT Building Material IDs are just a guide to indicate that you can use IDs for your own template. They are not based on any standard.
If you sort by Priority, then the grouping is by the Generic Building Materials, and then sequential numberings. So IN refer to the insulation grouping, ST for structural, EM for external membrane etc.
Cheers,
James.,

It seems strange to me that none of the Attribute windows include the BM Classification ID. This makes matching a building material to a classification extremely difficult especially when trying to create 2 templates, one for NatSpec and the other for Uniclass and using Archicad Classification - v2.0 as a base.
The Archicad Classification - v2.0 works well with Archicad but doesn't translate well to the other formats as the grouping is different (in all 3).
The Building Material ID should in fact be called Classification ID so as not to be confused with Element ID and probably it would be good to have a Classification ID added to Surfaces.
