Hotlinks - problem with content showing while multiple instances are opened

We have a project using AC26 with a model file (in the BIMserver SAAS), that has several hotlinks. For years, we have been able to open any hotline while having the host file open, edit the module or hotline file, save, then update the reference in the hotline manager. For the first time, if we open a module in a separate instance, nothing is shown in the workspace, nothing hiding or anything. It is an empty file. We did some tests as a PLN, etc, but nothing changed. Any ideas? We are on a Mac in most of our workstations.
